Tying Bonds of Friendship | Pre-Primary Friendship Day Celebrations
The Pre-Primary learners of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi, celebrated Friendship Day on 1 August 2025 with open hearts and joyful enthusiasm. The day was filled with activities that helped young children understand the meaning of friendship through creativity, storytelling and shared moments of joy.
The celebrations began with a cheerful Circle Time, where children spoke about what friendship means to them. Their simple yet sincere reflections highlighted the beauty of kindness, sharing, and being there for one another.
A heartwarming story, “Bunny and Bear – Best Friends Forever”, followed, delighting the young audience while gently introducing them to the values of empathy and togetherness. The story sparked smiles and thoughtful conversations among the children, leaving a lasting impression.
Adding to the excitement, the learners crafted colourful friendship bracelets for their classmates. The hands-on activity allowed them to express appreciation and affection in a creative way. One of the highlights of the day was the lively “Hug Train”, where children shared warm hugs in a joyful chain of connection and laughter.
The celebration concluded on a musical note with a spirited group song:
“We are friends, we love to play,
Together we laugh, every day!”
Through song, story, art, and shared experience, the children celebrated the spirit of friendship in its purest form. The day not only brought smiles but also nurtured the values of love, compassion, and connection—reminding everyone that even the smallest voices can build the strongest bonds.
