Nursery Adaptation Day

Nursery learners at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi spent their second Adaptation Day on 2 April 2026 exploring a classroom arranged around the theme Shades of Green. The setting resembled a small jungle, with green tones and animal elements placed around the room as children entered and looked around.

The morning began with sponge painting, where learners worked with green colours and experimented with different prints. A jungle story followed, and the children listened while identifying familiar animals from the narrative. They later took part in animal movement activities, responding playfully as they mimicked actions such as walking, jumping and crawling.

Music and dance formed another part of the session, with learners moving freely across the activity area. A short magic show was presented during the morning, holding the children’s attention as they watched the performance.

A panda character made a surprise appearance, prompting immediate excitement. Learners also visited a photo booth where moments from the day were captured.

As the session progressed, children moved between activities at their own pace and began interacting more comfortably with their surroundings.
