Nursery Adaptation Day 1

Nursery learners at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi began their first Adaptation Day on 1 April 2026 in a classroom arranged around an ocean exposure theme. Shades of blue, sea creatures and soft décor created a gentle setting as the children entered their new environment for the first time.

A sequence of short activities helped the learners settle in gradually. The children participated in a Dippy Dip craft, followed by a “Find Your Sea Animal” activity where they explored familiar marine forms. Bubble play drew their attention next, and the Fishing Fun activity invited them to engage with simple hands-on tasks.

Music and movement allowed the learners to respond freely, after which they watched a puppet show featuring sea-themed characters. The interactive format kept the children involved while they became more comfortable in the classroom.

A surprise visit by Donald Duck brought visible excitement, and the learners responded with curiosity as they interacted with the character.

Over the course of the morning, children explored the activity spaces, moved between tasks and became familiar with their surroundings. The first Adaptation Day introduced them to the school environment through play-based experiences within the ocean-themed setting.
