Gold medals aren’t really made of gold. They’re made of sweat, determination and a hard to find alloy called guts

The much awaited Annual Sports Day of  Pre-Primary and Classes 1 and II was held on the 11th of February, 2017 on the Vidyalaya grounds. The fantastic turnout from the parents and the pleasant weather was the perfect boost for the students.

The programme began with the invocation and lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome speech by the Principal. Thereafter,  a peppy dance drill by the students of Class 1 and II set the tone for the rest of the events Once the races began the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. An array of races like the Bee race, Bunny race, Hurdle race, Prop race etc. showcased the competitive and energetic spirit of the participants.

Colourfully attired cheerleaders pepped up the event with enjoyable fillers between the races and mesmerised the audience .The highlight of the morning was a yoga performance by Classes 1 and 2 wherein they demonstrated the Surya Namaskar with great enthusiasm.

The Principal awarded the winners with medals and certificates amidst a lot of cheer. The day ended with a vote of thanks by the headmistress Ms Rakhi Malhotra, applauding the effort of the students and the teachers for making the event a huge success.
